it was a regular sunday evening for you and matt. at least, it’s your regular. typically if it was two years ago you and matt would be cuddled up on his bed enjoying the sweet silence and each other’s company.

well those times have changed. especially with your new edition to your family. your baby girl, aria, brought a whole new world to you and matt’s life. bringing joy and sometimes destruction.

and as of right now? she’s bringing destruction.

all you were trying to do was relax a bit on the couch. no matter what anyone says, parenting was not easy. especially not chasing around a toddler that refuses to use the bathroom.

“aria, baby, i need you to go potty.” you try and plead with the stubborn two year old. but she only pouts and turns her back on you letting out a stern, “no!” before running off again.

you heavily sighed before walking towards your daughter. swiftly picking her up, you removed the diapers that were on her. she needed to learn how to use the bathroom on her own eventually. you set your baby down, now bottomless, watching as she ran towards her dads room.

aria bursted into matt’s room as you followed behind, plopping down on the bed. “dada!” your girl’s sweet voice rang through the room before she collided with matt’s leg as he was seated on his desk chair.

“hey my beautiful girl, where are your diapers?” matt questioned softly before holding her up by her armpits. aria only pointed at you that was nearly passed put on the bed from exhaustion.

“she didn’t wanna potty.” was all you mumbled before dozing off. matt could only chuckle but somewhat felt bad since youve been battling with the girl to potty on her own for weeks now.

matt rose up from his seat and carried his daughter to the bathroom before stopping infront of her potty that was next to the big toilet. he sat her down and she only looked at him in confusion.

“sweetheart, if you go potty ill give you ice cream, okay?” maybe bribery wasnt the best parenting technique, but hey, you seemed desperate and worn out so if this could work maybe it could help you. at least thats what matt thought.

matt smiled and nodded before walking out towards the door, making sure to leave it open just in case. “i’ll be right here sweetheart.”

a couple of minutes had passed before matt heard aria yell out, “done!” matt smiled to himself before yelling back. “did you wipe?” the girl answered back with a yes and matt walked into the bathroom.

after cleaning up both the bathroom and his daughter, matt made sure to put a diaper back on aria to avoid the same outcome. by the time he was done you had already woken up to see both your husband and your daughter eating ice cream on the kitchen island.

“guess what?” matt said as he saw your figure emerged from the room. “i went potty, mommy!” your baby proudly said with a mouth filled with ice cream. you couldn’t help but smile and give her a bunch of kisses on her chubby cheeks that you loved.

you also gave matt a bunch of kisses as well as one on his lips, as a thank you.

“i can’t believe you did it.” you said in disbelief as you also grabbed a bowl for ice cream.

Youve been stealing back millions of eggs from Grizzco for years. And in a single night, they took it all back.

How does it feel to face a possible extinction?

Uhh lore abt Grizzco and the salmonids below!

So in my interp, Grizzco started somewhat small, bc back then Grizz and...an associate... were doing everything by themselves. When his associate went nuts, and almost ended the world by driving the nearby salmonid nations nuts as well, Inkadia launched Project Piranesi. (More on that another time.) Grizz had to think of another way to get those eggs..

…how perfect was it then, that Inkopolis, a fairly new city, was having a bit of a salmonid problem?

Grizz inserted his corporation as part of the damage control along the run routes. it only grew from there.

he expanded to the Splatlands later, though admittedly the folks there were more adapted to the salmonids compared to Inkadia. Its not as strong a hold but Splatsville and its surrounding establishments appreciated the extra precautions Grizzco provided.

Neos born fighting for her life and for her clans. Its why shes so aggressive and finds it difficult to be anything but. If shes not angry, fighting for her clans to have a life of peace…for a present and future where she can live -- what is she?

she and 3 arent so different, in that regard.

Grizzco says that the last 7 big run locales had "unusual magnetic readings" and in my world that just means THEY DAMN PUT IT THERE!!!!

They intentionally put something there to confuse the migrators and to steal the next generation -- and the Inkfish? Ofc theyd fight for their homes.

The Splatlandians TRIED to avoid the routes when they built the city after thousands of years of observation. Sorta like the dykes and canals some cities build next to swelling rivers.

Another comparison is that the big runs are just like other natural calamities in the eyes of the nations. Its like a flood, an earthquake, a typhoon. Hell its somewhat announced that way too. The infrastructure is built with the runs in mind. The powers that be have built countermeasures.

*I say try bc some sleazy/unaware corporations still built along those routes bc of the cheaper land/other "economical reasons."

And then Inkadia just wasnt aware at all, being a newer city compared to the ancient splatlands.

Grizzco intentionally causes property damage for bigger gains. Theyve been suffering a "shortage" thanks to Neo3 and the platoon's banditry. In a bid to take everything back and more, they decided to make the biggest event in the Splatlands the salmonid's next target.

They know that EVERYONE will show up to it.

I think seeing that counter keep ticking up gives Neo3 a sense of creeping dread. Thats the number of eggs she put back in the sea. And more. All done in a single night. All her work, down the drain.

The platoon does manage to get a LOT of it back but god. What about the fallen runners, who were supposed to get to the actual spawning grounds?

Those lives disrespected and their bodies unable to feed the spawn. (Theres only so much the survivors can drag back.)

I wonder too, how many of those runners arent there for the runs at this point. They are there to kill.

Ticked off by the persistent attacks and the misdirection. As Polyphemus says in Epic, "Take from you what you take from me."

After multi-magnetic field disruptors in the biggest run, these salmonid have had enough and want to hit back. I wouldnt blame them...god, I wouldnt blame them

The salmonids have never resorted to kidnapping any inkfish. Theyve killed. Yeah. Part of the whole running ceremony. But it was always just a part of that.

To actually go out of their way to fight instead of spawn? Thats different. In the grand run, inkfish may notice that some bosses arent dropping golden eggs. Bc they were never here to spawn. Theyre here to drag every inkfish they find into hell.

Subsequent big runs may end up with more and more of those eggless bosses.

Happy 700 mil!! I HAD MANY NEO3 AND SALMONID THOUGHTS. THINGS ARE GETTING SO FUCKED UP IN SPLOONWORLD. The platoon as a whole is trying to restore peace between the Splatlands, Inkadia, Octaria AND the Salmonid nations, but unless Inkadia and the Splatlands change (COUGHS mostly Inkadia), nothing can really be done.

This is the shit 3 fights for. That harmony is what they dream of. The whole world rests on their shoulders and they press on, ever forward.

Taking their clothing because you miss them (Creepypasta)

two things: i promise im still working on the eyeless jack x reader fic to celebrate 1k TToTT my steam for writing the fic is just dwindling a little since its very different from my usual posts </3 but i still intend on getting it done! in fact id say its about halfway done, if you dont include proofreading and fixing stuff!! so theres definitely.. something.. i just dont have a time window for it </3 originally i was going to write this with ben/jeff/toby and make it platonic but, i realize this prompt is usually used for romance stuff so theyre gonna sit this post out, ill probably think of another group post soon to make up for it but shrugs getting into the writing i realize i wrote this prompt for some characters a while ago so im going to link those parts in their place

SLENDERMAN:

you take his tie! normally i would say his jacket, but i feel like thats such an obvious choice.. imagine you dont know how to tie it so he walks in on your fumbling with it. trying in vain to get it down... he probably thinks its a little amusing... i mean who wouldnt? kind of just watches you fiddle with it for a minute before making his presence known, likely making you jump. he would much rather you ask than take his clothing, he doesnt have much of it (though is there much need for it, anyway?) (non sexual obviously). probably teaches you how to properly do the tie. his hands absolutely consume yours

SPLENDORMAN:

just ask him and hes going to give you just about any piece of clothing he has on him! i like to think that he lets you have his hat a lot of the times. especially after he walked in on you trying it on.. sure it might be a little too big for you, what with splendor being very tall and thus having a larger head than yours... probably goes on and on about how adorable you look. i mean hes always telling you how cute or pretty you are but it hits different for him when youre wearing something of his. you dont have to ask for his clothing, hes very open to sharing! definitely gets an alternate outfit so he can match with you every now and then

hi cuties. this is the last post of the understanding consciousness and non dualism series and i want to say thank you so much for everyone that supported me. im happy that my posts helped ppl understand this concept better. the aim of the series was to break down the topics so that it can be easier to comprehend even though its so simple but the ego makes it seem harder (as you can already assume).

by now you understand that your real and only identity is consciousness / awareness / the observer / the source / imagination and everything is consciousness ("your" phone, "your" mother) which appear as separate and different forms even though its all the same thing, you. nothing is real and everything is imaginary. imagining something is the same as having it in the "physical world" bc there is no "physical world" bc there is no separation bc everything is just consciousness. nothing is real but things exist when you become aware of them (example: these words can never be real but they exist bc you are aware of it). this human body and thoughts/ego is not the real you, real identity. its not real its just appearing as something else. consciousness is the only reality so reality is everywhere bc consciousness is everything. desires arent real bc the moment you become aware of something, it exists instantly, youve experienced it instantly. "desires" are you. you dont create anything, you are everything. forms of consciousness just appear as separate but arent. even the 5 senses arent real and are limited to the power you are (consciousness). as the observer, you observe everything (in the unreal physical and in imagination).

the point of non dualism is to realize your true self (consciousness) and be free from suffering in this "life" that you think is real. remove and be free from all concepts and beliefs and the past. they are not real and never will be. once you understand non dualism, there is no suffering or pain or no issue. you cannot take things seriously bc you know none of this is real in the first place. personally, i think the point of "life" is to realize your true nature and enjoy life and peace with whatever ego desires. if ego desires being a rockstar or having piercings or getting free money, then thats what it is. the point is to experience whatever ego wants to experience.

all this is just a game.

you are the game character (human being), you are the game's plot, you are the producers of the game, the one playing the game, the game console, the game itself, everything. and this game is all imaginary.

be present and enjoy everything bc its all you. ego desires something? be that desire and imagine it.

none of this shit is real so i can and will treat myself how ego wants to be treated in imagination since its no difference if its in imagination or in the "physical" bc both are imagination either way. ego wants to go to the beach? in imagination i will go to the beach and enjoy every second. you see how free it is to imagine whatever knowing that imagination is everything and everywhere? its unlimited. you are unlimited.

how to play a new game:

I can definitely see a version of katara, a couple years after sokka goes off with their dad, watching her tribe struggle for resources, first being overjoyed to welcome this air nomad, somebody around her age and also trying to save whats left of their culture in the fire nation’s wake, and then so betrayed when he’s (in her eyes) suddenly the reason they’ve all been suffering for so long, the reason she doesn’t know whether her brother and father are alive or not.

And then zuko coming along, not only with a tangible plan to stop the war and help her family, but also a way *out*. She loves her tribe and would do anything for them, but she’s also a teenager that feels so angry, so alone and helpless, and can only see a future where she lives and dies on this small patch of ice, feeling the pull of the moon but being too busy, too tired, too ignorant to heed its call. Of course its the scariest thing she’s ever done. I bet she deals with nightmares after the righteousness wears off and it sinks in what shes signed up for, the last waterbender of the southern water tribe on a metal fire nation boat. But if katara does anything its buckle down and commit.

I would love to know how zuko even gets into a position to have a conversation with katara and tell her his plan. What is their first meeting like, to not only divulge that, but want her on his crew? Do the two of them do their best to teach her waterbending; does uncle iroh help? I can only imagine watching katara struggle but keep on getting up to try the forms again and again brings back some of his own memories learning bending (i love your art, i love all the details about this au and all the others youve dropped, thank you for sharing even when people are dicks)

You have put this into words much better than I ever could. Her journey, her development and what drove her to make the decision to leave it all behind.

Zuko is a different person in this AU, and has had different experiences. He respects their village's boundaries, and comes in a small ship with two unmasked members of his crew, a man and a woman. He introduces himself in the way of the Water Tribe (I am Zuko, son of Ursa—no father, only his mother's name when it should have come last), and asks for permission to stay in their lands as his ship is repaired. Away from the village, where their presence wouldn't be a burden or a threat, and they could be easily forgotten or watched.

Katara is the only person to look him directly in the eye and, when she goes to where his ship is docked late at night and threatens to end his life if he so much as lights a fire in the direction of the village, he doesn't dismiss her fury or her capabilities. He smiles instead, eyes old and tired. I can end you, right here, right now, she says. I know, he answers. I know.

Days pass, Aang has been making himself scarce and the Prince has kept to his word. He doesn't ask for anything, he isn't seen unless someone from the village goes to stand watch, and he looks at her with something akin to respect.

Then, a few days after his arrival, Zuko asks for an audience with the village's mathriach and her family. He isn't surprised when Katara is there, and he addresses her directly, as if her opinion is something to value.

He hasn't been entirely honest, he says, with the countenance of someone about to play it all in a move that could earn him either victory or defeat. His ship needed repairs and he was closer to their shores than Earth Kingdom land, this is true. But it was so because the person he was chasing after had damaged his ship and, according to maps and calculations and sheer dumb luck, the only place they could have run to was here, in the Southern Water Tribe.

But why would he chase someone like that?

To return home. To earn back the rights to challenge his father for the throne, and end the war.

Why do such a thing?

For his mother. For his sister and uncle. For the world.

Why tell them this?

Because they had a right to know, since the person he was after was right here, right now.

Who?

The Avatar.

Who?

The airbender.

and then nancy leaves. you stare at her, still in complete shock, as she approaches your brother. they exchange words, and you cant help but laugh at how shocked dustin looks as well. nancy takes his hands and marches him confidently through the crowd of preteens and places dustins hands around her waist and they begin to dance.

a few girls sneer at nancy and dustin, which you secretly preen at. serves them right for being little monsters towards your brother. you understand that being twelve is a horrid age, but dustin doesnt deserve their bitterness.

nancy says something that makes dustin bashful and he giggles. his tears have long since dried, and you watch them with fondness. a year ago you envied nancy wheeler and resented her beauty and grace. now, shes dancing with dustin and sending you a wink as he spins her around. time is weird, but youre immensely happy that you somehow ended up here.

you look around the gym. will is with a girl with a nervous smile on his face as they dance together. nancy and dustin are giggling to themselves. max and lucas are shy as they slow dance, and without meaning to, you watch as they have their first kiss. its a short, simple peck, and lucas blushes like crazy, and your heart soars.

Aside from the books I camped out to buy on release day and the DVDs that are crammed in a box somewhere in a storage unit, I have gotten rid of every single Harry potter thing I owned because I grew the fuck up and found better things to like. Sure I'll watch the DVDs again every few years to feel the nostalgia again because a good chunk of the cast are great people (we fucking stan Dan Radcliffe and David Tennant in this house ) but I'm not giving jkr another cent of my money or an inkling of my time beyond that.

I did something really sappy for my 30th birthday - I said goodbye to the franchise. I mourned what could have been. I went to Universal studios ((also bc Simpsons land and fast and furious ride and ET and a bunch of other stuff are there)) but I stopped into Harry potter world to do everything once and say goodbye to that part of my life since it was something I had wanted to do for most of my youth, and my friend who i became friends with because of harry potter was there with me. We drank the fucking pumpkin juice, had breakfast at the three broomsticks, appreciated all the little easter eggs around hp world, rode the hagrid ride, and ate a chocolate frog I wore my trans rights shirt and dressed gay as hell, my friend is trans so he just ~existed blissfully~ . I think every Harry potter fan needs to acknowledge that the franchise was good for them in the 90s, mourn that part of their life, and move on.

Bonus: me being Gay as Fuck in front of the castle. I hope JKR fucking rots and fades into obscurity and people come to realize she's worse than HP Lovecraft.

Taking a deep breath before the sweeping elevator doors open and spit you out in front of the executive offices, you blink tightly immediately noticing a frantic wave being tossed in your direction through the thick glass encasing the entire floor. All you can do is shake your head and sigh, stepping toward the door and pushing it open, Toge grinning as you enter the room and nodding toward the bouquet he advised you was waiting.

You’re certain the culprit who sent the admittedly beautiful arrangement is also the man frantically waving at you from Sukuna’s office, Satoru Gojo. He wears a flirtatious smirk across his face as if it’s the most natural thing he has ever done, effortless as having the world in his palm. You acknowledge him briefly, eyes flicking upward to meet his that are only halfway covered by his sunglasses, and turn your back to the glass, opening the card slipped between pretty blooming anemones, your favorite, and mums.

Toge has rounded his desk and looks down at the card and you groan reading the words while he giggles, almost too entertained by what’s written down on the card.

“If you say a word, I will fire you.” You hiss in Toge’s direction and he raises his eyebrows, digging his phone out of his pocket to skirt your rules about speaking. He types and you watch him with your eyes narrowed, certain nothing appropriate nor acceptable is being said.

Toge: guess that answers whose 🐓 youve been indulging in….

Right as you open your mouth to reprimand him, you are interrupted by a deep sing song of a nickname you long assumed was dead.

The danger of knowing someone for a long time is that there’s always a plethora of potential embarrassment in their arsenal and no one proves that better than Satoru.

“Oh ___ cat,” Gojo croons while stepping out of Sukuna’s office, ditching the man mid-sentence to come and bother you. Quickly you shut the envelope the card came in and pop it back between the flowers, turning to him with a stony look on your face. If you give him an inch, he will take a mile so you choose to give him nothing.

“Wonderful to see you as well, Mr. Gojo.”

Sukuna snorts loud enough from his office that even you can hear it and your head turns so sharply he’s concerned your neck is broken. You shoot him an ice cold glare. He shrugs and holds up his hands, gesturing very lewdly while looking between you and the white haired man who doesn’t miss a beat before continuing his teasing.

“So formal,” he whines with a pout and you roll your eyes in response. He opens his arms for you to embrace him and reluctantly, you reach to give him a polite side hug but this doesn’t work for Satoru. He pulls you against him and embraces you, much to your embarrassment knowing everyone in the executive offices has their eyes on you right now.

Your face is pressed to his chest so you don’t see his smug grin but everyone else does and they know he’s staking his claim once and for all. Anything Gojo wants, Gojo gets - except for you. The timing has never been right, you’ve always been out of his reach but now is his chance and it is being grabbed and held with both arms.

Attempting to wiggle away from him, you groan and he lets go. Toge snickers behind you and the urge to kick out in his direction and let your block heel meet his shin is strong but you refrain, stepping away from Satoru and straightening out your blouse, mouth set in a flat line.

“What are you doing here?”

Your peripheral vision catches Sukuna twisting back and forth in his chair with his feet up on his desk, tossing a crumpled sheet of paper toward the ceiling and catching it.

“He’s supposed to be here on his knees sucking my dick begging me not to ruin his company!”

The words boom through the glass cage that is the executive floor and you scoff, mortified that everyone can hear his commentary. You look around the office to see what damage was done during this purported rampage only to find that everything is in the same order you left it in.

“Don’t let me interrupt you two then,” you mutter and turn on your heel to walk toward your office a few doors down.

A second pair of footsteps echoes after yours and you groan, turning to see Satoru whose grin hasn’t faded since the moment he laid eyes on you.

“Next time you ask Toge to do your dirty work, feed him a better excuse to come back than Sukuna rampaging. He does that so often I was contemplating not coming back at all.”

The man chuckles and you raise your brows, turning to walk a little further and into the open door of your office.

“Would you have come back if he would have led with me being here?”

Scoffing, you shake your head and reluctantly invite him into your office by sweeping your hand in the direction of the desk and couch in front of it. Without hesitation, he plops down on the couch and lets his feet dangle off of one end while folding his arms behind his head and laying down. He looks ridiculous but you bite back a smile anyway, rounding the couch and sitting down at your desk.

“Probably. The work never ends.” You sigh and exhale loudly, digging in your bag for your phone and tablet and placing them in front of you. “For the second time, what are you doing here? Unless I interrupted fellatio, in which case I apologize.”

Gojo laughs and you feel your heart soar so embarrassingly high that you are compelled to begin working immediately to distract yourself. The spark between the two of you is easy to ignore when you aren’t faced with him but it threatens to burn the whole place down when you are. It’s a terrible thing to want someone so furiously and that is why you’ve managed to avoid it for as long as you have.

“I was in the neighborhood and wanted to check the place out. Heard they hired a pretty little lawyer to clean up the big guy’s messes and had to check things out for myself.”

You hum unenthusiastically, tapping away on your tablet. If he wants to discuss his conquests, he is welcome to march back to Sukuna’s office. You bite back the words you want to spit at him, choosing gentler ones instead.

“Nothing draws the infamous Gojo quite like a pretty girl, right?”

He sits up and spreads his arms across the back of the couch, head tilted to the side. You refuse to look up at him for more than a half a second.

“Especially one with your face and name. The prettiest girl in the city.”

This catches your attention and your glance and he shrugs as if he knew it would happen.

“Save your charms for someone they actually work on.”

You’re grateful nobody else, namely Toge, followed you to your office because anyone who knows you well would be able to tell how firmly Satoru has wedged himself beneath your skin. He thrills you in all the ways you imagined a man would - he’s intelligent and witty and innovative but he also makes you ache unlike you ever have and it’s evident when he’s around.

“See, you say that but your cheeks are almost as red as what Sukuna sees when he’s told no.” He clicks his tongue. “Lying is bad, you should know that by now.”

No one else has ever cut you down to size more successfully than he does and you sigh, defeatedly.

“If you want to catch up you can just ask me to dinner. You’ve had my number for like ten years.”

“Well for five of those years you were playing house with Mr. Baseball so I assumed a text from me would be unwelcome.”

Ah yes, he can’t help but bring up the fact you started dating your ex not long after the two of you had…relations. It was the best sex of your life and the connection with Satoru was so intense you wanted to pursue him but you decided better of it after hearing about his reputation, fearing being embarrassed by his casual approach to love and romance. You’ve never wanted to be casual and took it as a sign to run away yet like a boomerang, he has returned to you once again.

“Can you get to the point? I have shit to get done, Satoru.”

He can’t help but smile at the way his name sounds on your lips, familiar and fresh all at once. There’s something about it that drives him wild and he isn’t willing to risk losing out on you again especially since word has spread that you are back on the market.

“Have a drink with me tonight.”

Pretending to contemplate it, you look away from him and around your office. It’s still bare, you’ve had no time to decorate it since you started, but you can picture where you’ll hang the photos in the box across the room and your diploma when you get the chance.

“If I can get out of here before midnight, I’ll consider it.”

For Gojo, this is enough and he nods. If anything it confirms that you’re interested back and his fact finding mission was a success, just in time for Toge to come down the hall to summon him back to the executive office.

“If you’re done here, he’s requesting your presence.”

Inumaki’s flat words make you giggle and Satoru stands, stretching with an exaggerated groan.

“I’ll text you later,” he mutters while heading toward the door and you nod politely, wiggling your fingers in his direction.

Your assistant moves so that Gojo can walk past and immediately turns back to you with a grin, looking down the hall to make sure he’s gone before turning back to you.

“Can we expect another bouquet tomorrow?”

You scowl.

“You are this close,” you hold your index finger and thumb up to your face and close the distance between them. “To being jobless today.”

He throws his hands up innocently and trudges back down the hallway, leaving you to collect your thoughts on what to do next.
